故事发生在八十年代的北京。几年前，在农村插队的盛夏返城回京，当了一名卖肉的售货员，她把希望寄托在男友柯平身上，指望他能评上职称，同时她也想通过自学改变未来的前途。她以同寝室好友秦园为追赶目标，利用一切业余时间补习英语和其它文化课，力争参加高考。临近高考，盛夏发现自己怀孕了，柯平趁机提出结婚要求，而盛夏不想失去高考机会做了流产，俩人为此产生隔膜。因受情绪影响，盛夏高考失败，柯平也离开了她。面对双重精神打击，盛夏咬牙坚持着走向自学成才之路，秦园高考的成功也时刻激励着她，她相信光明就在前头......。Thomas and Thomas are going through a rough patch: they are both thirty-something actors living in Paris. They randomly decide to leave the city and fly away to Kullorsuaq, one of the most remote villages of Greenland, where Thomas' father Nathan lives. Among the Inuit community, they will discover the charms of the local customs and their friendship will be challenged.。
