『聖者的行進』是日本超級王牌編劇家---野島伸司和名製作人伊藤一尋繼『高校教師』（93年）、『人間˙失格』（94年）、『未成年』（96年）之後第四度攜手合作的連續劇。這是描寫一群智障人士的成長過程的故事，演員陣容十分堅強，包括酒井法子、石田壹成、廣末涼子、安藤政信、雛形明子、松本惠等，可說是網羅了所有當紅的偶像新人。當然光是打著酒井法子和野島伸司組合的招牌，就足以吸引一大群日劇迷了。 本劇主角是一群在庇護工廠工作的智障人士，描述他們的成長經歷以及生活上的點點滴滴。由於題材較為敏感、尖銳，因此在日本播出時，即引起相當大的迴響與媒體輿論。劇中飾演這一群智障人士的有石田壹成、安藤政信、雛形明子、松本惠、渡邊慶、小林正寬，對於一向習慣當偶像的他們而言，首次飾演這種心智不健全的角色，的確是難度相當高的挑戰。因此為了演好劇中的角色，他們特地親自到殘障中心去見習，...。Young and inexperienced Sister Ann has just arrived at her next posting at Samaritan House, a Dominican order located in a disreputable neighborhood of Ghent, Belgium.
